My April budget was $125. I just barely went over and mostly due to end of the month shopping! I spent about $144, that means I'll be borrowing $19 from my May budget leaving me with $106.00 for the month of May. This was my first month (ever) keeping a clothing budget. It's completely changed the way I shop. I want to build a wardrop that is classy, comfortable, and high-quality. To do that I need to plan out what I buy instead of impulse shop.

I bought all of these items within the last three months. Sadly I haven't worn most of them much. Their are certain things I love about this outfit! For example the buttons on the jacket, the colors in the scarf, and the shocking orange of the flats.

I love this skirt but have had trouble styling it. I liked the solid classic colors like black and white, but I'm still looking for a good ways to wear this look. Happy Earth day everyone!

Girls Lunch Outfit: Bright Blue Cardigan, brown tie neck blouse, and heels

Cardigan: August Silk similar
Blouse: Ann Taylor similar vintage, similar
Jeans: Blue Cult similar
Heels: Giani Bernini exact, similar

I read a lot of fashion blogs. Check em out on my best fashion blogs tab! My all time favorite fashion blog is Outfit Posts. MK has timeless style. If I had paired this outfit with boots it would've looked a lot like her outfit worn here.

I wore this outfit to a girls lunch today. I received so many compliments on it! I normally would never pair brown with blue, but because the blue was more of turquoise it worked!

SPEND VS. SAVE:  Polka Dot Swimsuit

Before you look any lower on this page can you spot the Spend and the Save? According to Town and Country Polka dots are making a big comeback this year!

Spend #1:$89.99 Esther Williams
Spend #2: $66.00 Freya Swim
Spend #3: $49.95 Lane Bryant
Save #4: $27.92 Walmart

As cute as string bikini's are....they don't offer much support. Especially to those of us who have larger chests. Walmart is an interesting company for many reasons and I don't shop there often but they're one of the few places that carry swimsuits for large-chested women. So I couldn't resist this cute polka dot/striped bikini top from Walmart.

What are your thoughts on the new "hipster" bikini bottoms? Like the one pictured in Spend#3. Cute or Not-so-cute?

SPEND VS. SAVE:  Infinity Ring

Before you look any lower on this page can you spot the Spend and the Save? In the words of Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, "To infinity..... and beyond"!Ok, Ok, enough about that! Give up? See below for prices and links.

Spend #1:$129.99 Zales
Spend #2: $49.99 Super Jeweler
Spend #3: $16.00 Etsy
Save #4: $8.50 Icing

I love this new infinity jewelry concept. And even though I'm extremely picky when it comes to jewelry I loved this diamond infinity ring from Icing. And only $8.50? What a Save! I was really impressed with Icing's new in-store look and their selection too.

I almost bought this adorable statement necklace also from Icing. But I'm working on a budget and I didn't want to spend it on something that I'd only wear a few times.....
$14.50 Glitter Stone Flower Statement Necklace

Does anyone know of any used jewelry websites? As much as I love shopping I'm always looking to play my part and support recycling in every form possible! If you don't know what I'm talking about....ask Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

SPEND VS. SAVE:  White Lace Flat

Ok, before you look any lower on this page can you spot the Spend and the Save? I'll give you a hint....April showers bring May flowers? Give up? See below for prices and links.

Spend #2: $50.49 Baby Daughter
Spend #3: $58.00 Tom's
Save #4: $14.95 H&M

I love the new lace trend that's currently going on. It's classic, girly, and just in time for Spring! This past weekend I went and visited a friend who is getting married in few months. She has a gorgeous dress with beautiful lace details which inspired me to buy these white lace flats from H&M! And what a great deal right? Only $14.95! I don't usually shop at H&M because I always feel like even the biggest sizes there don't fit me, but they really have so many cute clothes that are also affordable!

(*I thought the H&M flats ran about 1/2 size small. I'm normally about a 9, the 9.5 fit great.)
